Excellent haddock and chips. Some of the best fish I've had - meaty, fresh, perfectly cooked.

Quick and friendly service. Lovely clean and bright looking chippy! Lots of salt and vinegar given and the chips are amazing! Fried in vegetable oil/fat so suitable for veggies. 2.20 for a small. Not cheap but not expensive either. I'll be back soon for a large... enjoy the chips/view!

Mr Chips Diss holds a truly special place in my heart. Beyond consistently serving an absolutely amazing fish supper, their genuine friendliness and customer focus set them apart. My late husband and I were regular customers for years. When the pandemic made visits difficult, their food was something we both missed dearly. He would even meet their delivery halfway between the shop and our home just to get his favourite! After my husband's passing, ordering from Mr Chips became difficult for a while. His last request when he was home was a fish supper from them – a memory I cherish. My first solo order felt like a taste of heaven and a comforting connection to old times. The personal note they included, sending their sympathies, was an incredibly kind and thoughtful touch during a difficult time. Their beef dripping chips are a must-have, and paired with their perfect haddock and delicious curry sauce or mushy peas, it truly feels like home. The convenience of online ordering and home delivery now makes them my absolute go-to for a fish supper. Having judged fish shops in the past (as former Miss Waveny Advertiser!), I can confidently say Mr Chips Diss meets all the criteria for a top recommendation: friendly, personal service; excellent fresh quality food; and fair pricing. Highly recommended!

I visited Mr Chips this evening, I am working in the area and really fancied decent fish and chips. Mr Chips is right in the middle of Diss and there is parking outside. The shop is light and airy, and well presented. Sadly they had no rock so I went for medium cod and chips.. The prices are reasonable, and the fish was cooked fresh.. I didn't have to wait long. My dinner was seved up in a smart box and smelt fantastic. Portion was good, batter on the fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were too. Its a 10 out of 10 for me. Next time I am in the area I will definately be calling in again

Great, cheerful staff, and the best chips I've tasted in ages :)

We stopped off for a small portuon of chips and they were delicious! The service was fast and friendly and we ate ate a table outside the shop. The Fish Kitchen sells a great range of fish and side dishes. We enjoyed our visit and will certainly have fish and chips on our next visit.
